12 Cents for a buck

Good morning!  I am enjoying a day off and I went to two estate sales this morning.  The first one was real good, but of course I can't afford all the good stuff.  So this is what I found.

A nice globe lamp for my starting collection.  This makes three globes so it is a collection in the making right?

A Hummel collectors guide book.  I don't collect these, but i like them.  Way out of my budget.

The lady at the sale added some of these booklets inside my Hummel book and charged my two bucks.
Sample of what's is inside

My first comic book.  It is a "12 cent" comic and I paid $1 for it...I am not sure why, but something tells me I overpaid :)  I actually went online and did a search and saw that one of these can be valued at $50, not sure how accurate that is.

A little Hummel plaque that I now regret buying, cause I have some wall hanging that is the same and I saw a Mighty Mouse comic for $8 that i could have bought instead.

The other sale was a complete bust. I just bought a can of "practice" spray paint.  Can't wait to see your finds.  Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday Saling

I went to two estate sales this morning.  One was at Chaparral, NM, which to my surprise was a lot closer than i thought.  Before getting into estate saling, I was quiet the scary cat driver.  I didn't even like to take the 1-10 and rather take longer taking back roads.  I am glad I am venturing out a bit more.  The view and the drive were very nice, it was early so not much traffic.

I didnt find much that i liked, dealers had already taken the good stuff.

Found this 1976 jewelry/sewing/purse box??

strawberry jewelry dish?  Need to clean it a bit more.

Probably a new collection, a small globe that is missing its stand, but i couldn't leave behind.

The only find on the second estate sale.  They had a bunch of holiday and dolls, not my cup of tea.  I always buy colors, color pencils etc.

Cant wait to see your finds.

I went to two Estate Sales this weekend.  Both of them were just ok.  I drove the furthest I have driven for one, and the only good thing about it was that I ventured out a bit.  I am a bit of a scary cat when it comes to driving.  I just bought a t-shirt of a local University team and a bed cover in one and a plastic bin at the other.  I also went to a planter blow out sale.  I bought three planters and might be going back for more.  I am currently learning how to plant in pots, so three were good enough.

The following is just a small portion of what was available.

What I bought.

You Two

I went to two estate sales this weekend.  One started on Friday and I couldn't get out of work to go in the morning, so I attempted to find it during my lunch time, I got lost and I was using my phone.  I was like 1 minute away from my destination when I realized I wasn't going to make it back to work on time. UGHHHHHHHH.  So I went on the second day and of course what I had seen in pictures that I wanted was no longer there.  Some wood with blue vinyl chairs and a nice pitcher :(

The following is what I was able to find.

A storybook parade bank tin.

Another bottle for my small collection

A cute to me elephant

And the last thing I bough for $.19 was a U2 Achtung Baby CD.  All was $3.20.

And this is what I got from the second estate sale that was also on the second day and stuff remaining was out of my budget.  They had a lot of nice art, but the one I like was $225 that I can not afford.

Can't wait to see your finds! Have a great week!
